From the Telepgraph.com.au website:

A LOCAL council has divided a community by turning a cemetery into "religious zones" - outraging the families of deceased non-believers buried there.

Joan Pritchard, 80, said she was "absolutely appalled" when she visited her "completely non-religious" daughter's grave at Argents Hill cemetery to find Nambucca Shire Council had erected a large sign declaring her a Presbyterian.

The council's director of environment and planning, Greg Myers, said the signs were installed to "help people find the section their loved ones were buried in".

He said the council would now remove the signs and acknowledged that they had "caused some upset".
