A new block has hit the market in South Australia’s wine country, offering buyers an unearthly opportunity. The McLaren Vale region is best known for its local drops, exceptional landscapes and culinary delights, but just off the main drag, an eerie site is ready to grab the attention of those passing by.

No. 6 Tatachilla Road, McLaren Vale is on a 2282-square-metre block with a historic Pioneer Congregational Church hall and its very own cemetery. The hall was built in 1844, which does suggest that some of the residents are from a lifetime ago.

The listing from Harcourts Wine Coast says the site is in a fantastic location and potential buyers should “let [their] imagination run wild”.  Just down the road is the local Coles, the post office and some killer wineries, plus right across the road is the gorgeous Ellis Park.

The Congregational Cemetery and Memorial Wall is also a mere 45-minute drive from the Adelaide CBD, so bringing this piece of history back to life is not as far fetched as it seems.
