It comes after the Tender Funerals Working Party called on Port Macquarie-Hastings Council to stop the expression of interest process around the potential sale or lease of the Innes Gardens Memorial Park Crematorium and Lawn Cemetery and consult with the community.

The working party's concerns include the likelihood of increased cremation costs to the community if a sale or lease went ahead.

The protest, which will begin at 11.30am on Friday, June 14, is organised by the Tender Funerals Working Party in conjunction with Mid North Coast Dying with Dignity NSW.
