The Townsville Bulletin reports about improved facilities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members mourning their loved ones have been unveiled at Belgian Gardens Cemetery.

 A new bench seating area covered in artworks depicting traditional scenes has been created by the Traditional Artwork Project with funding from Townsville City Council.

Community and Cultural Development Committee chair Colleen Doyle said the improved facilities would give members of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community a more comfortable place to grieve.
