A development application for an Islamic Cemetery and Service Hall in Marulan has today been dismissed by the Land and Environment Court, according to reports.

The development application was lodged in October 2014, and Councillors refused the application at their meeting on the December 15, 2015 due to a number of concerns including traffic management, and flow, biodiversity concerns, ecological issues, the probable effect of the development on water quality and Aboriginal cultural heritage.
