A 39-year-old cyclist has been killed after he was struck and trapped under a vehicle in a cemetery in Sydney's south. Police and emergency services were called to Woronora Memorial Park on Linden Street, Sutherland, shortly before 7am, and found the male cyclist trapped under a Toyota Corolla hatchback.
"It appears to be a series of unfortunate events that have just culminated into something terrible in a very serene place," the cemetery's chief executive Graham Boyd said.
It is understood the collision occurred on one of the cemetery's small streets and the cyclist and driver were travelling in the same direction.
No one has been charged.
Police are continuing their investigations.
