Operation Rosemary was in full swing at the Woronora Memorial Park this week where the gardening team were cutting as many sprigs of rosemary as they could to Legacy headquarters in the city to be worn at next week’s Anzac Day remembrance services.
This has been a tradition over the past few years at Woronora Memorial Park under the direction of chief executive officer Graham Boyd.
Yesterday, the park staff sent three large containers of rosemary in support of the Legacy Rosemary Appeal.
Legacy grew out of the ashes of World War I and since then has been providing support for veterans, and their widows and families.
Every Anzac Day since WWII Legacy has given out rosemary to honour veterans and support for their families.
