Yankallila is a small South Australian town on the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula. The Peninsula is a favourite destination for some. Others, ahem, like it for the great roads. Anyway, Yankallila's cemetery is up for a refurbish designed by Geof Nairn. He also designed Adelaide's Centennial Park. The cemetery plan aims to address a number of issues at the site, including water drainage, old grave site conditions and public safety concerns about trees falling over and losing their limbs.
The plan includes water features that work with the area's natural shape that people can use for reflection; restored grave sites; new landscaping that can help stabilise the soil; and traffic management.

A public meeting about the display will be held on Friday, September 11, at the Yankalilla council chambers at 7pm.
The concept architect will be available to answer questions and explain aspects of the concept.
Consultation will then be collated and presented to council on Tuesday, September 15.
