Jennifer Twemlow will host this online zoom talk with historians, Gay Hendriksen and Michel Wilson. Join us for Gay's unique presentation on the personal stories of the convict women's journey to Australia, the rise of the female factories system, the experiences of women at the Parramatta Female Factory and the significance of these women for us today.
St John's Cemetery Parramatta is the final home of many convict women from the Parramatta factories and their oppressors. Jennifer and Michel will follow on with a discussion of these stories from both sides of the walls.
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions after the talks.
Times are AEST (Sydney, Melbourne, AU)
