Waterfall General Cemetery – also known as Garrawarra (or Garrawanna) Cemetery – is located north west of Helensburgh, in the northern-most part of the Wollongong local government area. This cemetery was used from 1909 to 1949 as a burial site for over 2000 tuberculosis patients from the nearby Waterfall Sanatorium, which operates today as the Garrawarra Centre for Aged Care.

The Cemeteries and Crematoria Association of NSW is pleased to announce two more sessions of its popular Cemetery Safety Course for operational and administrative staff. The session are scheduled to be held at Dubbo (NSW) on 31 March - 1 April 2020 and Rookwood (Sydney) on 2 - 3 April 2020.
The course is offered free for the first two (2) registrations from CCANSW Financial Full members that have not already utilised this membership benefit during the 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020 financial year. Additional CCANSW members at $550.00 per person and non-members at $950.00 per person.
The BBC has an informative article on the topic of unsafe headstones in cemeteries, specifically as managed by councils in Wales. Carys Betteley writing for BBC News says while some councils already have policies in place, others are introducing new ones following the deaths of six people, including an eight-year-old boy from Glasgow, as a result of unsafe graves. Neath Port Talbot is holding open days this week to answer any questions. Councils usually try to contact owners or place notices before taking action.

Some of these ventures, such as London-based will provider Farewill or Cardiff's price comparison site About the Funeral, are backed by heavyweights including Zoopla founder Alex Chesterman and GoCompare founders Hayley Parsons and Kevin Hughes.
The Faulconbridge General Cemetery is an early cemetery in the Blue Mountains and contains monuments to a number of important citizens in the history of Faulconbridge, most notably the grave of Sir Henry Parkes who established the cemetery and features a central obelisk monument.
El Cementerio de Cristóbal Colón, was founded in 1876 in the Vedado neighbourhood of Havana, Cuba to replace the Espada Cemetery in the Barrio de San Lázaro. It is named in honour of Christopher Columbus. The cemetery is noted for its many elaborately sculpted memorials. It is estimated the cemetery has more than 500 major mausoleums. Before the Espada Cemetery and Colon Cemetery were built, interments took place in crypts at the various churches throughout Havana, for example, at the Havana Cathedral or the Iglesia del Espíritu Santo. There are some 800,000 graves and one million interments recorded.
