Toowoomba Council in Queensland has advised it is seeking a Coordinator Regional for its Cemeteries. Applications close on 3rd November 2021.

About the role

  • The Cemetery Services Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of services to ensure the efficient delivery of cemetery services in the Toowoomba Region. This position will oversee the cemetery operations including the coordination of projects, services and facility management and will report directly to the Principal Community Venues.
  • The Salary Range for this position is $72,555.84 - $77,602.25 gross per annum plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.4% superannuation.
  • This is a Permanent Full-Time position and will be based at the Toowoomba Drayton Cemetery.

How to be successful in this position - Success Criteria

  1. Hold the mandatory qualification(s), training and/or experience, as outlined under the 'Success Criteria' in the Position Description (attached).
  2. Demonstrated ability to lead a team in the delivery of cemetery specific services.
  3. Demonstrated time management skills including the ability to plan and organise own work and the work of others through the identification and allocation of agreed performance and service standards in accordance with organisational goals.
  4. Ability to communicate with and assist a diverse range of stakeholders, including handling customer complaints.
  5. Demonstrated excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  6. Ability to be emotionally resilient to handle the stress associated with death care activities and cemetery operations.
  7. Demonstrated ability to plan, develop and operate a complex program of services designed to support the successful delivery of cemetery services to the community.
  8. Well-developed skills in the operation of computer applications and cemetery specific software applications.
  9. Demonstrated understanding of statutory requirements including Local Law, QLD Workplace Health and Safety legislation, codes of practice, guidelines, industry standards and work processes relevant to the work area, and the ability to provide advice in relation to these to relevant stakeholders.
